12th Century Korean Inlaid Celadon Chrysanthemum Dish of Fine Color, with an inlaid circular ryu scroll in the inside of the bowl. The chrysanthemum's many petals is an ancient symbol of an abundant life or fertility. The ryu was a royal scepter with a head in the shape of the mythological bullocho longevity plant. 4.75 inches wide x 1 inch high; 12 cm wide x 2.5 cm high.
