| A Rare 19th Century Mother-of-Pearl on Black Lacquer Korean Sewing Box, decorated with plum blossoms and characters for happiness and prosperity. This was definitely a sewing box that was loved, used, and cherished for many years. The corners and edges are beautifully adorned with speckled mother-of-pearl. The mother-of-pearl plum blossoms on each side and the lid symbolize courage, because the plum blossom flowers early, typically in February. 13.5w x 3.5h inches, 34w x 9h cm. | ||
