Dragon painted in 1998 by Renowned Korean Artist Don Ahn aka Ahn Dong Kuk (1937-2013). Don Ahn was a pioneer of Korean art in America. In the 1950s he was the first to move permanently to the US and receive recognition here, beginning with the 1952 exhibition of his work at the Kilbride Bradley Gallery in Minneapolis, the very first exhibition of Korean contemporary art in America. His work is in the permanent collection of the Museum of Modern Art in New York, and other major museums. Extremely Scarce Set of Five Prehistoric Korean Arrowheads from Korea's Neolithic Period 8000-1500 BCE. These faceted arrowheads are identical to the Neolithic arrowheads on page 31 of the catalog, the 29th United Association of the University Museums of Korea Exhibition - Korea's Bow and Arrow, The Military Academy Museum. Sizes range from 1.75 to 3.25 inches. It is unlikely you will ever again see prehistoric Korean arrowheads offered for sale.

Very Large, Nearly Five-Feet-Wide Mountain and Waterfall by Kim Ki Chang aka Unbo (1913 - 2001) in it's original stunning frame. Despite being deaf, Unbo was one of Korea's most beloved 20th Century artists. His works are now sought by museums and collectors internationally. In this original and very large signed lithograph, Unbo gives us an inspiring depiction of blue-green mountains with a mountaintop lake and waterfall. Rare 18th Century Burmese Wood Doll with Leather Skirt, Articulated Arms, and Painted Leather Hat Acquired by Irwin Hersey from Ohly's of London in 1976. 10 inches, 25.5 inches. From the collection of Irwin Hersey, renowned author on Asian and primitive art, and publisher of the Primitive Art Newsletter in the 1970s. Irwin Hersey was an advisor to museums and prominent collectors, and vetted pieces for many of the international tribal art fairs and Asian art fairs.

Roe Kyung Jo (born 1951) is one of the most well-known of Korean contemporary ceramic artists, renowned for his mastery of the thousand-year-old yeollimun technique of marbleized ceramics. This beautiful bottle is a fine example. Studies on Roe's works have been published in a variety of international scholarly publications. Rare and Sublime Painted Porcelain Vase by Korean Buddhist Monk Su An Sunim (born 1940) depicting children. It has a warm, creamy slip-painted surface. This is the only ceramic art by Su An Sunim we have ever seen offered for sale. The recent exhibition of Su An Sunim's paintings at the Zen Buddhist Temple in New York City was the most highly-attended exhibition ever presented by the Korean Art Society. At that exhibition, Su An Sunim's more common works sold for higher prices than we are asking for this rare painting on porcelain by the internationally renowned master. Mother and Child by Korea's Most Famous Sculptor, Choi Jongtae (born 1932). There was a recent New York Times article (March 2, 2023) on Choi Jongtae where he is called an "artistic giant who has been a huge influence on many artists" and his work is described as "focusing on the human condition," "bending the rules," "carrying a whiff of Picasso," and "embodying love and peace." Preeminent art critic Gaston Diehl describes Choi as "the equal of the greats of our time" and says of him that though he possesses "extreme technical virtuosity" he "avoids superficial excesses to delve into the deepest self."
